As we planned to build our dream home in 2000, we heard many horror stories from people we knew who had built houses in the past. We were very concerned that we might go over our budget, encounter unknown problems, or experience difficulties in communication with the contractor. After consulting with several general contractors, we chose Jeff McKee. Jeff’s bid for building our home was not the cheapest we considered, nor was it the highest. We were friends with Jeff and his wife, Suzi, and we chose him because we felt he would do the job with honesty and integrity, and because he seemed to best understand our wants and needs. Contrary to the stories we had heard, our home-building experience was GREAT! Jeff was on the job site every day, making sure that things went as planned.

Our home was built in a timely manner at the cost we expected. Jeff went out of his way to make our experience good; in fact, he even went so far as to arrange for us to tour a house that had already been built which had our same floor plan. This gave us insight into what things we might like to change. He also made helpful suggestions for changes and additions, while always allowing us the final choice of whether to change or stick with the additional plans. He stayed within the allowances he had given us for various aspects of the home, always allowing us the option to upgrade if we wished. We have lived in our home for almost 10 years now, and we are very glad that we chose Jeff as our contractor. We have remained good friends over the years, and we recommend him highly to everyone we know who builds houses.

We started looking for a home in the Tri -Cities area after moving back from Atlanta. We knew what type, style and price range of home we wanted. Then we came across the Breckenridge subdivision while driving around, the subdivision is out of view and you would not think of homes being in that area. It was the perfect location for us."
